Performance with visually challenged people

This is a cordial invitation to attend Swarnamadhya's performance with visually challenged people.

Date: 23/7/2010
Day: Friday
Venue: Ramnarayan Ruia College, Women Common Room
Time: 3 PM

Recently, Swarnamadhya successfully entered into a new venture of India's first ever Audio Movies. For the pre-launch & launch event of the movies blinds were present as special invitees by association with NAB (National Association for Blinds).

And now, we are very delighted to start these 'Performance with Blinds' activity with 'Self vision Centre', Ramnarayan Ruia College as while checking out the roots of our work in the field of audio, it takes us to our performance done we did at Ruia college last year.

The performance aims at providing quality entertainment & knowledge to the blinds through listening. It is also focused on converting the blind audience into performers & making common people aware of the problems faced by blind people.

The 45 min performance will be followed by an interaction session between the performers, organizers & audience.

We will be pleased to have your company at the occasion.

Thanks
Nikhil Hazare, Pradnya Ganla

One more pre-launch of audio movies

One more Pre-launch event of Audio Movies 'Char Botanche Antar' & 'Kachpani' is taking place on 12th June 2010 at Ravindra Natyamandir, Pradbhadevi, Mumbai.

Synopsis:

First Movie: Char Botanche Antar

As per the title which means distance of four fingers, audiences are going to cross the distance between ear & eye with the visualizing experience through listening only.

The movie starts with introductory philosophy in the Golden voice of Shri Vapu. Then it subtly illustrates story-telling tradition of the family with a cute little story of Sawkar & Sadhu. This way the journey starts with a simple story & moves towards a comic element of a movie. It’s a story named ‘Pen Salamat To’ which demonstrates effects of being addicted to any habit which is otherwise not harmful. Then a story ‘Shrimant RaghunathRao Peshve’, a fantasized tale of presented on the backdrop of Mumbai Corporation (BMC) is presented in a form of satirical humor.

Second Movie: Kachpani

Kachapani is a childhood game in which you have to take out single piece of glass from bunch of glasses without disturbing another glass as each & every piece is important. This movie opens up with Vapu’s own analysis about human beings & the relationship building process in between them. Then this voyage travels to a fantasy, illusion n day-dreaming tendency of any human being which goes with all twists & turns of imagination, ‘One for the road’. After that a heart touching emotional tale ‘Milord’ is presented. It shows us selfish side of human beings crossing relations & at the same time a bond of humanity which ties this species together as well.

The letters:

In both audio movies, letters exchanged between Vapu & readers are included to take the journey on personal level. They are sweet, advice seeking, sometimes absurd & shows up interesting interaction between the writer & his audience.

The content is being bonded by Mrs. Chandorkar’s memory sharing about her father as a writer, a human being, a family person & all other facets of his personality on personal & professional level. Her participation has provided a very personal touch & resulted in high production values.
